Any Cool Ideas I could do with an older Xbox360 Chat pad?

The older chatpads use PICs for their firmware. Which i have an old one!!! 

The PIC chip number inside mine is a 16F883.

I know there are i just need to know!

Maybe you could program it for a different language/reorganize the keys.  Or use it as a rapid fire system.  Eg. can you program it to accept commands from the keys and output them into the controller somewhere.  It would allow for many more modes as well as an easier way to get between them and less confusion around things like button combos to get between modes.  IDK if it is possible, but it seems logical if it works the way I think it does.  I don't have a chatpad or i'd start working on it myself...

The new chat pads have ROM instead of a PIC. So i have a rare, special, and exotic... *awkward* chat pad.


t0p8uZz and i were talking and he has the same kind as me because he ripped his open after i did today he might make a computer keyboard out of it.

I have no idea what i will do with mine...

Pre program words into keys, ie; 0 = n00b, l = lolwut

and then have qwerty be different speeds of rapid fire

yeah Sniper thats a nice idea for macro keys and stuff.

I was thinking of a cup holder or something but i was wrong. jk jk.

Top is probably experimenting with the chip right now since i don't have a programmer.
