The PSP-2000 LCD screen does not have the resistors that the PSP-1000 LCD has on the LCD ribbon cable, as the resistors are already on the motherboard. Also, the PSP-1000 LCD won't fit under the faceplate as it's much thicker, and needs a different chassis to hold it in. The PSP 2000 has plastic tabs holding the screen in, while the PSP-1000 has a metal frame holding in the screen. It won't work and you may mess up the motherboard and might bridge some pins on the LCD connector.
