[Rebuild] Gaming Rig - Case Swap and Watercooling Rebuild.
« on: February 22, 2010, 10:23:52 PM »
I went to one of my local stores on Sunday and picked up a new case and while I was there i saw a few other things i liked and decided it was time to give the gaming rig a new make over. Especially after cracking the plexiglass in my Antec 900. So I decided to go with the Cooler Master Storm SNIPER case. Great cooling. Semi-Simple design, but still looks tough as hell. And most of all, SPACE. I upgraded from the Mid-Tower Antec Nine Hundred to the CM Full-Tower case. The new reservoir holds nearly twice as much coolant as the old swiftech MCRes2 I had before. Heres a few pictures.

Dont worry though the Nine Hundred still has a place, as I am building a new watercooled file server PC for the house using that case and an old P7N Diamond motherboard that I have laying around. Sporting 4gigs of ram, and an BFG 8800GTS 640MB GFX card

Wow, that is super cool.  I was just at micro center to pick up a new power supply for my comp and I was thinking about maybe putting in some new mods while I was fixing it anyway.  Usually I am too lazy to open my PC for mods.  I was going to go for cathodes and maybe some better water cooling.  Now that I think about it, I could go for a new video card too.  Hmmm, this might get interesting.  Uh oh, better go hide by credit card from myself....

you might want to check the watercooling again, and might want to cut some things in the case
because i don't know the way the watercooling is now
it doesnt look good
and not so healthy for the tubes, and the pump wtf at that xD ?

To all of you crying about lag and kicks, remember… when Jesus died, took him 3 days to respawn. Now THAT is lag.

Ya it looks really cool, but you would be better off getting some elbows, so your hoses arent like that.  You should also drill some holes so you can mount your pump.  But other than that it looks awesome

the pump has been mounted since then. and i didnt have the money to buy some elbows.  but there are 0 kinks and it works fine.  In the long run it doesnt really make a difference anyways....

and Dutch trust me it works fine and the hoses are fine. This is my 5th waercooling build, including an internal xbox build.
