weird boot issue.

lately my explorer.exe hasnt been booting when windows starts. and has been happening more and more.

i can get it to come on after going into task manager and running explorer.exe.

any one ever hear of this?

ps, im running winXP sp3 if it helps at all.

well i know i have a virus, but its not coming up on any of my mini scanners (mbam, stinger, ect)

i need to re-install windows anyways, so would i just add this to the list of things that will be fixed?

download IHAVETHEPASSWORD
it's a free image of windows XP which you will need to burn on a DVD
then you can boot from that dvd and you will have a modified version of windows XP running from that disc
on that disc are multiple programs, anti virusses, anti spywares, and a lot more!

most virusses hide themself when you boot your OS but because the OS is booted from the Disc there is no way to let the virus hide himself from the virusscanners


i'm using this way to check for failures on pc's on almost all my customers pc's
