don't you hate it when you buy a laptop with a rechargeable battery and about a year later the battery can barley hold a charge.? well starting next week this company called Leyden Energy is looking to change that year shorted batteries  with a three year battery  leyden energy says its new laptop  batteries can hold a charge for three years! with 440 watt hours per liter and over 1,000 cycles, also the battery can operate at higher temperatures than traditional batteries. what makes this possible is the battery has a positive and negative plate ad between these plates is a salt-solvent in a electrolyte that doesn’t degrade up to temperatures of 300 degrees,  Leyden Energy’s three-year warranty battery will cost a premium over a standard one-year battery, and while Leyden Energy hasn't yet determined the exact price it will sell the battery for, Leyden Energy CEO and President Aakar Patel is stated saying in a interview that a three-year battery will be less than double the cost of a one-year battery. these battery will be available to Canadian consumers though Dr. battery in the coming weeks

Just throw them in the refrigerator and then try to charge it.

The #1 reason why batteries go dead is PEOPLE LEAVE THEM UNCHARGED FOR DAYS!!!

Lithium Ion(Li-ion), Lithium Polymer(Li-POLY), and nickel metal hydride(Ni-MH) batteries do absolutely fine and have lifespans of 6 years if taken care of properly. When you do not charge your batteries for a long period of time the plates begin to separate because it looses charge. Opposite charges attract so if you charge the battery the positive and negative inside the battery wants to neutralize itself and discharge  thus physically squeezing the dielectric inside... This keeps the batteries alive because the chemical paste is not being diluted.

Leyden batteries use and lithium imide electrolyte to suspend a charge.

yeah you could take the old batteries out and put the new ones in and solder it all up together it will work. They have to be wired up the same and all the batteries have to be the same voltage.
