I want button that doesn't break.
« on: March 28, 2010, 03:12:49 AM »
So, I've killed two mod controllers now, and both thimes it's been the tactile buttons that break. I know the mods still work because I've tested them. Can anyone reccomend a button that will last a year instead of a month or two?

rapidonline.com have some good switches, sounds like you want to look for some heavy duty ones (I'm taking tactile buttons to be the mod buttons).

But if any of the people who make the mods could be bothered you can actually make the controller use the trigger for the mod as well as for normal use.

One mod uses tactile as trigger, other uses tactile to switch modes. Just need some heavy duty ones that will ship to or from UK.

Radio shack switches are pretty good, there cheap (the 9.5 mm ones), as long as you don't bust on them. Push them like a human being and they'll be fine.
