Does it sound like this?

If it does, as DARk_ANGEL said, that's the charger not properly filtering the 60 Hertz Frequency from the wall outlet charger... so you hear it Amplified by the amps in the Turtle Beach. Annoying huh?

50Hz in Europe, most areas of Asia and Africa
60Hz in United States, certain parts of Europe and Japan
2% Tolerance in frequency

Bass Test Frequency 8 - 60 Hz

I got the x41's....They are wireless and whenever i connect the voice mic up i get a buzzing too......Crap, have to play around with the adjustable mic to get it to stop. £150.00 down the grid in my opinion. Turtle beach headsets are a rip off, over priced & over rated.
Funny thing is i tried a set of tritton ax 180 in a store and i thought they were actually better and half the price....Ok so x41's are digital and wireless...big wow !
Tritton ax 180 are analogue and wired but i think they sound a lot better. Just my thoughts.

theyre worth the price if youre into the games your playing. but i bought mine off a buddy for $50.00 USD. ive had it over 3 years and in my opinion, theyre one of the best headsets out there.

Triton are just as bad. with Triton the have structural problems with the headsets and wire problems out the arse. i have the x31 and it has a slight hum when theres now noise. but once i start up a game it goes away. i also have a earforce hpa2 5.1 for my computer and its sooooooooo awesome.

Not having owned a set of tritton i wouldnt know, thinking back though they did look and feel a little flimsy/delicate.
I just know i wish i hadnt bought the turtle beach x41's A friend recommends the astro A40's  but after ditching £150.00 on the TB x41's, to go out and spend nearly £200.00 on another set of headphones would more than probably result in my wife divorcing me.................Hold on.................Amazon here i come lol
