Power Switch Rewire?

Does anyone know how to re-wire the power switch when replacing it? The pads on my mobo are completely ripped off and i cant seem to get it work work, no matter how i do it...

you could find a trace by the pad and solder to that

ive followed the traces and scratched them and soldered to them, but somethings not right obveously.... that or the mobo i have is screwed

you probably soldered to them wrong

im pretty sure i didnt, cause i even traced them back to the source that they come from and still nothing

on the front of the motherboard there is a test point labeled PWSW, solder one side of a momentary switch to that and the other side to any given ground.



ignore the watermark....its not even a site anymore lol, you dont have to use the GND point i used but its an easy one, just scratch away a small area on the main ground plate and there you have it

yeah i used that PWSW point, ive tried a couple different things next time i have a little free time, ill try this out

thanks so much timmy for the pic i had a power switch problem the solder points came away completley and this diagram allowed me to competely rewire my switch  thank you
