XBOX 360 No picture but sound

Ok so i was wondering, a guy called me and said he had an xbox 360 he wanted to get rid of it has no graphics on the screen but he said it turned on and got sound. He also said ithas no rrod, so do u all know how to fix this or even if its fixable. Thanks

it could be jsut a loose connection, i dont know.
It could also be that the grafic card is fried.

it's hard be sure about.

i do know that Black burn has a similer problem with a jtag. He over heats it when it does that worth a shot?

the way to fix is to do same steps to fix e74.
i had that prob
i just took off the heat sink for the GPU and turned it on and let it over heat then quickly pasted it and did the x-clamp fix.

MAKE SURE PASTE IS VERY LEVEL and not just a random mess!

No video Is a H/ANA chip problem, use a reflow gun or (if you dont have one) a hairdryer.

heres the H/ANA chip:



Put the reflow gun on ~300 F for about 10-15 seconds, let it cool, and check if the video shows. if it doesnt, try the RROD fix, the GPU specifically.

sniper is right usually a Hana chip.   I would put your gun at 450f and focus on the legs.  most solder doesnt melt lower then 400f

there around 30-50 bucks for a cheaper one. And you can get them at home depot.

Use a hairdryer for a longer period of time if it's a one time use, if you going to repair multiple 360's buy the reflowing gun. It's $45 - $65 realistically.

how long do u say with the hairdryer like 10 minutes?

this might sound kinda funny but before you do any fixes check if you have the cable with the tv/hdtv and if you do make sure its on the right one. this happened to my friend and now it works fine.

for example if u have a regular non-hd tv its gotta be on tv and if you do have a hd its on hdtv

good call try a new cable first



Also A hair dryer will not reflow anything.
