I'm gonna buy a new pc around September-November Time, so I was looking for some cool keyboards and mice to play Video Games with. And I stumbled upon some pretty awesome ones.

(PC Specs if you are interested)

- Asus HD5770 (ATI Rebrand) Graphics Card (HDMI, DVI-D, HDCP, D-SUB) 1GB GDDR5 with a high clock speed
- Nice case with Temp Monitor, LCD etc
- MSI 770-C45 AMD 770 AM3 DDR3 Support 8 channel Blu-ray Audio GB LAN ATX Motherboard
- 4GB DDR3 KINGSTON RAM
- 1TB Seagate HDD
- RS232 Card (PCI)

- XP Home

The Cyborg R.A.T 7 looks awesome. I officially need one.



Pretty awesome specs too. Fully Adjustable stuff, massive DPI, weights, buttons... My favourite is the 'Precision Aim button' which instantly drops the DPI (for as long as it is depressed) for sniper shots and the like.

The Cyborg V.7 Gaming Keyboard just looks solid, functional and overall awesome. It has a 'Cyborg' Key that disables the Windows Key and brings up your custom lighting scheme.

The Cyborg keyboard is a waste. It's exactly the same as my Saitek Eclipse 3 except VERY minor changed details. Most notable are the side buttons being macros instead of dedicated keys, and the RGB lighting instead of RB.
Also, the mouse is tacky...

It's not a rebrand. It's the company that makes it. "With a high clock speed" mad me lol hard...

Edit: It's come to my attention that the Cyborg is the gaming sister version of the Eclipse...my bad. If you're not going to use the macros, then I don't see any benefit over the Eclipse 3 (Which I got for ~$60).
Edit2: Holy jesus you can not only but the Cyborg v7, but it's only $60. BRB Checking if my Eclipse can be returned.
Edit3: By the way, I lied. It's $80, but it IS available now (not sure where you got "soon" from...). I don't think I can justify $80+tax+shipping for a keyboard.

im almost sure u need a higher watt powersupply, and really XP HOME? why would u go THAT FAR back. Im sure its just going to end up as a bottleneck. ubuntu would be better for you at that point.

It's the only thing I have. If I have a bit of spare cash I will get Windows 7 Prodessional. And Ubuntu is going to be on dual boot as soon as I buy it.

Reason I said soon for the keyboard is that it is unavailable in the UK at the moment. I can probably get it for ~£60 when it comes out.

I just remembered my dad has a copy of Vista :)

And 500W is more than enough... The graphics card is quite efficient (18W idle 108W Full Load), so is the mobo, the only real powersuckers are the drives and other cards (and possibly CPU)

One of my pc's has a 5770, it's a real decent card I must say.

Windows 7 ftw.

And I use a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard and a Razer Mamba :P I'd like to try that Cyborg RAT mouse though, it looks complicated haha.

Please god dont even think of installing windows vista it will ruin a perfectly good machine. XP isnt bad im currently running a dual boot between 7 and XP

my openion:

once xp pro is patched from its origional version it is a great OS. It is easily coded for and will do just about anything you demand out of it. Vista is :censored:, I dont think we even need to discuss it, and win 7 is nice and easy to look at, but most people waste 99% if its potential, due to the complexity of set up
