ok guys i just bought a new laptop and its awesome. but for some reason when i open an application in the start menu, like paint or the voice recorder, i cant click on any desktop icons and i cant right click on the desktop background. the only way i figured out how to fix it is to restart my computer. the programs work fine when i search for them in the start menu and everything.

anyone got any clues to why this isnt working correctly?

it seems like a registry problem, however, the only way i know on what to do is to either A) reformat or B) rollback

Mmm yeah only real software-based solution is a reformat/reinstall. If that doesn't fix it, it's a hardware issue. Since you just bought it, it should still be within warranty.

you could do a reformat or you could go through warranty. if the problem isnt fixed you could get a refund.

I t may be your Setpoint or Quickset Software,   (Or whatever software you are using for the Touchpad and buttons) try updating it or downloading the Newest Version
