Head Tracking For the disabled.

Tracking head motion for the crosshairs for most FPS is a challange. For this we will need to use optics to create a high and low resistence. this is accomplished with very few componants. The only issue is range the optics will need to be fairly close I think we can fix this by using better IR leds in an array.

Here is the proof of concep of head tracking motion..



Here is the diagram for wiring.


Setting up the optics is sooooo simple very cheap to make just need to order some parts from mouser.

Here is the parts
1: Quantity 2 of TSL262R-LF
2: Quantity 2 of TSL12S-LF

Here is how I have the test POC set up..

rofl its not fake

he has a IR LED u dont have to move around

u can clearly see him putting the ir up to it and the player moves

i know this is some uber bumpage, but i would like to know more about this, like how to set it up full scale on a tv.

Seems like a pretty good application but not sure how effective is would be in a real situation as the accuracy will not be top notch.

can you repost the wire diagram for us please. i am trying to set up a system for up/down and left/right control and i can't seem to find this anywhere. it would be much appreciated
