OK guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that we are in the process of updating and upgrading the forums, over the next few weeks you will see some changes to boards and sections around the forum.
the forum boards will be restructured slightly, and alot of new features will be added to the forum to make it a better place for all modders to come together.
I will keep you as updated as I can throughout the process. nothing is being deleted just restructured, so if you loose something, feel free to ask and a link can be provided to you.
We feel that with a small bit of understanding as we do our work, you will love the new features and updates.

we are currently working on archiving all the tutorials (so there will be now more missing links EVER) we are also adding redirect links to help the tutorials be found easier, as now in each of the console boards there are new child boards that host the tuts for that section. these are linked to the same tuts in the tutorial section of the forum.

oce this is complete, it will not only preserve the tutorials integraty, but will allow better indexing, and the only visual difference anyone will see is the new additional child boards in the console sections.

Would you consider clobbering any of the child forums together? Like in the news section where there are 20 odd child forums, many of which haven't had a post since April. I love acidmods but I do find it fairly hard to navigate. Search is great though!

good idea.  i will see what I can do. this area was created to organize the news that gets posted to the front page. it is not an area that people are suposed to post in or look through, it is for the news team to keep thier articals organised. I will get with kilokk and see what we can do about this.

any other ideas?

Generally the forums are excellent, but there are a few bits that don't get a lot of love, like the food and art sections, again clobbering them into a more general section would probably benefit browsing the forum. Great deal of great stuff on here, must be a bugger to manage!

yeh the food and drink would of been great if more people posted there favourite recipes and drinks etc. i may post some more over the summer but im just ajusting to a new diet so will do it when i settle in.

yeh the only part we are now waiting on is the theme conversion
