my friend just gave me 2 psp's (2001) and they both have a problem.

one of them powers on but stays on booting. like it will say sony entertainment and then the icons wont show.

the other psp's screen wont turn on but the green light will. i think its bricked and i tryed to make a pandora battery and i did it right i cut the pin but when i put the battery in the psp it wont turn on by its self.

what should i do?

the first one is bricked with a bad software flash
the second one sounds like it has a blown back light fuse.(light comes on, makes sound, but no display.)

On the second PSP (the one with the screen that does not light up).... when you boot does the memory led blink when you power on as it reads your magic memory stick?

Hey, i see you said you made a pandora battery, you need a magic memory stick to start the pandora battery up :D. Make sure you have made it correctly...

good news. since i made the pandora battery i also had a magic mem card that had 3.71m33 and fix both. one was bricked for sure and its fixed now the other one is fixed at some point. when i turn it off and tur it bak on it stays on xmb and when you turn it off and hold R and go to the menu and exit the menu the icons will show.  dont get me wrong im glad that it shows icons but how can i fix that?

also thers a little switch thats in the psp umd and it is off can i play iso gameswithout that? if so what are some good iso websites?
