replacing the CPU to free ban?
« on: August 07, 2010, 08:05:20 PM »
i have been looking it up and i have seen that you can change the code in a banned xbox360 to be able to re-enter xbox live. the object is to copy the cpu id and transfer it to the banned xbox. this means that you can sign in under the same id as the other xbox and they cannot both be online at the same time. but i was thinking more along the lines of swapping the cpu all together. would that solve the problem?

No, swapping the cpu will not solve the problem.  The cpu is the  "central processing unit"  all your xbox info is stored in the nand.  So what you need to do is get a non banned xbox360 and dump the nand from it and flash the new nand to the banned xbox.  But really the process is pointless because you might as well use the unbanned xbox.  The only point i see to this nand swapping is if you have a jtag and you host modded lobbies.
