I need help transfering my information to my new HDD 250GB (Xbox)

Ok guys, last week my xbox 360 died. I bought a new Xbox 360 with a new HDD. I have all my savegames, profile etc in my old HDD (20gb) and i want to transfer it to my new HDD (250gb). I have phoned to Microsoft to get the transfer kit but i have to pay 20€ but now i cant pay it. Also they have told me that i can do it with a pendrive.

I would like to know how i can do it with my pen drive?? There is any tut?

I have read that pendrive has to be between 1GB-16GB and to be supported by Microsoft. My pendrive is Kingston 8gb

You format your pen drive for the xbox 360 in the system settings menu under Memory Management. Borrow a friend's old xbox 360 for a moment so you can transfer your profile from the Hard Drive to your pen drive. To transfer your profile you have to go under system settings and you should see memory management. Copy your profile from the Hard drive to the USB drive and your Set!

Once your profile is loaded on the pen drive you can plug it into your new xbox360 !! But if you have any downloaded content you will have to goto the marketplace and re-download the big stuff like map packs and videos.

Once that is done your all set.

Ok, but i cant do it with my new xbox?? I need another xbox?

I have one xbox and 2 hdd. I think i could put the old hdd and copy all the information to the pendrive and after put the new hdd and paste all the information.

-> Format your pen drive.

-> Plug in Old Hard Drive into xbox, plug in formatted pen drive into xbox.

-> Transfer your profiles from the old hard drive to the pen drive.

-> Remove old hard drive and forget about it(lol j/k)... then put in the newer one and get ready to transfer the profiles back.

-> Transfer the profiles from the USB pen drive on to the new hard drive! now your profile is ready to play.

Note that you will STILL need to download some content from the marketplace again, like a map pack for COD, don't worry you won't have to pay for it since you've bought it already.

you also need to transefer the licenses for any arcade games, go to the xbox website/forums

yes, yes i did it yesterday, now i have all my information and licenses in my new hdd  and i could sell the old one
