I need help.

Well we got my dad a netbook for his b-day and well we can not conect it to the internet we have put all the right info except for when we got to Network key and we can not figure out what that is?

Is it our password because we tried that and it did not work so what do we do?

*UPDATE* 

I just found out it wants a IPv6 key and our router uses IPv4 so can anybody help?

Network key should be on the back of the router, should say wireless key then a series of letters and digits

Whatever your router password / WEP key is... IPv6/v4 shouldn't matter.

What is the make and model?
