Constant Headache
« on: August 24, 2010, 09:34:02 PM »
Now, I always have this constant headache, I've had it for like a week and a half now, and it pops in and out but it always seems to be in the same spot, which is on the left side of my forehead. I take painkillers (e.g Panadol, Nurofen etc.) they mask it for a bit then it seems to disappear but then the next day or the day after it will come back. I have feeling these are just stress headaches, but I haven't really been under any stress lately, so i'm asking for a little bit of help here.
Oh P.S it's not glasses.

I used to get reoccurring headaches and migraines, but I get them much less frequently now that I run like 15K a week. Just relax more, do what ever helps relive getting stressed about school and life and everything. If they persist you should actually see a doctor.

Sounds like you might have cluster headaches (often misdiagnosed as a migraine, though far less common and far more painful).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraine

I get them and they are excruciating, I used to think they were just really bad migraines but I have non-migraine symptoms too, like drooping and twitching eyelid on the same side as the headache (migraines are far more common in women than men and the symptoms are often attributed to migraines because of the similarities). Migraines are not usually unilateral like you're talking about...

Check the symptoms and then see a doctor for a prescription medication (I use fioricet, the same medication that my wife uses for migraines)...
