A new variation of the Xbox 360's wireless controller has been announced, with an improved D-Pad, thumbsticks, and with a variation on the current color schemes.
Basically, the D-Pad is still circular, similar to what it currently is, but when you twist it clockwise, a 'plus sign', very similar to the PS3's D-Pad raises and becomes dominant. Then, with a counter-clockwise turn it transforms back into a circular design again.

It seems Microsoft have finally addressed the thousands of users who have trouble with the current D-Pad, or prefer the PS3-type pads.
Also on the controller is an 'improved' set of analog sticks, which are still concave, though with a wider dip and without the four bumps on each stick.
New ABXY buttons are also included on the controller, in four shades of grey, instead of the usual red, green, blue and yellow buttons which have never been officially changed up until now.
The controller goes up for sale in the USA on November 9th, for $64.99 and is only available as a bundle with a Play'n'Charge kit. The Europe release date is said to be in February, with no word on an exact date.
Sorry if someone's already covered this, it just looks awesome so I thought I'd write something about it.
