Alternate X button halo reach mod

Im trying to add an alternate X button to my controller so I can jetpack more easily (I use bumper jumper) I already have the button on I jest need to know where to solder the wires.

Good idea, thats easy.  Just solder 2 wires from the + and - from the bumper to a small momentary push button.

Ohhh, you want to wire it up to the factory x button?  Or your going to add another x button.

i officially know how to do f00 f00's fps controller mod. this and wiring the analog to the contacts after moving it. and i am gonna do it.

What about PS3 pads where they have a flex board??? I would be interested to see where all the ribbon connections lead for mapping out the PS3 buttons to add an extra left and right for Modern warefare - I have having to remove my hands from the sticks to switch to 40mm or call in a pavelow......

hmmm i can see a issue with doing this with ps pads as the buttons work on a resistance system RDC would be better to answer this for ps pads....

as for 360 pads its easiest to do it on cg controllers as all u have to do is find the live (+) contact for you button of choice ie X in this thead and wire that to a tactile then the other side of the tactile to ground.....

with matrix you'll have to follow both sides of the X button...

even though sony uses an analog type button for digital inputs, this will still work fine for those controllers.  It will be more similar to matrix for hookup.   for circle you would need the circle line and Rcommon.
