Crisis Core Slim mod

Hello everyone,

As the title states, i'll be modding a crisis core psp (with the up most respect) Just waiting for the parts to arrive.

Plan:-

- UMD speaker mod (mono or stereo, not sure yet)
- White led Triggers (SR and Fade, Fade leds might be blue)
- White UMD leds
- LED indicators changed to white (blue charge)
- Other mods planned - stay tuned.........

I don't want to mod too much on this console as i want i to look like it's just been rolled off sony's production line.

I should be able to start work at the end of the month. I've got a preview picture made up, just need to load it up here.

This will be one of my last mods, as i just don't have the time anymore to continue modding (plus, i have bills to pay here. Having your own place is great, the bills suck balls though).

Got all the parts delievered apart from the clear UMD door which should arrive tomorrow.







When the UMD door arrives, i'll start working on it.

I saw that store, they had a bunch of limited edition shells, are they after market or OEM?
If after market, are they good quality?

Yes I'm curious about the quality as well, like lasershark said, is the case very good quality? does it feel cheap or does it feel like a solid psp case? if so, they've got a monster hunter case i'd kill for!

There after market cases. The one i have is looks great, but the screen is not formed correctly so i looks like i have a line running from top to bottom on the left hand side. Apart from that it's a good looking case.

However, in my infinate wisdom, i've managed to damage the case with my solder iron, so i've had to buy a new case. I've build the PSP so i'll load up the photos later on today.

I've just got the new UMD clear door and the new case should be here in a few weeks (hopefully quick than before).

Ouch.
When I modded my phat I touched the soldering iron to the actual screen and now there's a single dead pixel.

That sucks. A case is relatively cheap to replace, a screen is a bloody pain in the arse to replace now. Just checked another website where i brought the new case and it's been shipped, so hopefully i can start work on this console and finish it. All i need to do now is get a new solder iron.

This looks very nice. I wish they sold the bronze monster hunter housing without the designs.

The new case has turned up, finally! I'm having to get a new solder iron as the last one turned out to be as useful as a crap flavoured lolly pop (it's one thing after a other).

I've started on the UMD door, I've managed to get a clear UMD door rather than the smoke black one i used on the first case, so slowly but surly the mod is being built. Oh well, pay day tomorrow so a new solder iron is the next buy.

Ok, Sorry for the late update.

Here are some new pictures of the mod. I've changed out the blue leds in the UMD door for some UV ones. They seem to look better with the case.

i know its a old thread but thats a nice looking psp. i just ordered my crisis core case. only thing is where to you find the sword tassel thing?

the sword is from Bleach, Ichigo's Tensa Zangetsu.  you can grab one off the web pretty easy.
