PSP 3000: Lost sound to external speakers.
« on: October 13, 2010, 02:43:32 PM »
Sorry kinda long explinaton...

I broke one of the sound reactive L.E.D.'s i put into my psp 3000 and was repairing it. all went fine until i put it back together... one came on when the psp did and wouldnt react to sound. so i took it apart again and fixed it. and it was working fine. later i was playing music and plugged in the charger and the sound in bith external speakers was gone and is still gone. anyone know what could have happened? and if its fixable?

Thanks in advance!!!

well im 100 percent sure you might have blown a sound fuse? is a very common problem on psp slim 2000 and 3000. it usually happens when u mess around with led lighting  well one thing u can try is making a bridge on the sound fuse just put a small blob of solder across the bridge  :hifive: [by the way you post on the psp 2000  section just be careful where you post so just to make sure you get the right help]

yes i meant 3000 when i said it was a 3000. and would hooking up the speakers to the headphone jack solve this problem? Or would they no even register at all on the system?

sorry didnt mean to sound like a duche... I was just in a bad mood sorry bout that. And ill get you a pic of what i did. But i tried again and broke off the fuse. Is it still possible to bridge? And oddly enough everything still works. Just not through the screen or speakers, only through the AV cable.
Thanks in advance!

And again sorry...
