I have searched all over and I bought 2 PS3 with the YLOD for $50.00
both had the YLOD, and one looks like that got it reallly hot melted the case. 40gb on one and 20gb on other.
The 20gb has 4 usb ports in the front and still has the ylod. and did everything to it to try and fix it. still got the ylod if the dvd drive isnt hooked up will it cause this error?
the 40gb is cleared of the ylod but has no sound or video. its been a week now and driving me nuts tried hdmi cable and av cables and nothing did the reset and everything and i cant even get it to come up so i can restore the system. ANY suggestions on either one?
checked the power supplys they are good, both have the same dvd drives, think there missing parts , think there is suppose to be a sensor in there so you cant put two disk in the drive.
I bought them figuring i could make one good one. IF they cant be fixed I will probably part them out, for someone who needs parts or wants to mod the case and doesnt want to ruin theres. thats the plan...lol
