Sup guys!!

Well recently I have bought a Xbox 360 elite wich had only the cases from a HDD wich has 120GB. My HDD has 20 gb and i have decided to change for one higher. Well my questions are the following:

Where i can get a 120gb hdd for my new cases? It has to be original or not??

I have thought to buy it in dealextreme or focalprice but i dont know if it has to be original or it could be compatible

if you got a 120 hdd theres tools so you can make it a xbox hdd but you will need the connection kit for the hdd its a prity simple setup

plug hdd the pc use the tool set the size of hdd and start it. ive done it and it took about 5min and worked on live.

2.5 sata 7200rpm will work for the case

well they are the best but most others work but can get errors so quick while using the app to make your hdd so yeah go with the WD ones.

Yes, its possible use windows in mac but is there any problem if i use a laptop?? I only have a Macbook Pro now

what guys ms cannot stop anyone from upgrading to a bigger hdd plus ebay it depends on the hdd he wants.

Buy the Western Digital Scorpio Blue 250gb Hard Drive, ( Find It on Ebay )
Then Research HddrHacker. You will need to hack the Hard drive to make it compatible with the console.
Thats How you do it. And there is no other Way.

you can have a 250gb hdd, i would know as i have one.
ms released it with the mw2 bundle, but i used a wd drive and hddhackr to make my own.

the reason this is illegal is because the .BIN file you have to use is protected by copyright

no you can only use sizes that ms have officially released, if in the future ms release a 1tb drive then yes you may beable to us your 1tb drive

Its illegal but because People download games and put it on the Hard drive. But it wont be if that's the reason you intend to use it for. Like putting Cfw on a psp but you don't Download Games. Its illegal but only if you intend to be legal, Dont worry about taking the Step.

WRONG. what raf is trying to do is replicate an official ms product, therefore his hacked hdd will act exactly like an official one and will not let download games illegally, use homebrew, load cfw or anything an official hdd wouldn't.

Really guys i want to do this not for the size of the hdd its for something more aesthetic. I have a Xbox 360 elite with 250GB hdd and for christmas i bought another for my brother wich has 3 red lights now. Dont ask me how because i am surprised yet but for the price i have sold the faulty xbox i have bought another xbox elite but only with the cases from the hdd (the guy who sold me it would use it for another xbox also) and like the elite is black i would like to put a black hdd.

This new xbox is for my brother also and is for that why i want to put another hdd to have the xbox completely black

if your talking about just buying any old hdd and pluging it in to the 360 case. It wont work. You will need a specific brand of hdd and hddhackr

I cant even get my old 360 hdd that i accidentily corrupted using xport 360 cause i didnt know what i was doing to work. So i would just buy an official one instead of wasting about 78 hours of my life and then possibly failing.

WRONG, again. not rumoured, IMPOSSIBLE, you can only replicate hdd sizes that MS have already released and at the moment the largest size they have released is 250gb.

@raf i am now going to try and answer your origional question and end this topic.
ok so your options are...
-you can use hddhackr and use a laptop hdd
-you can try and find an official hdd without the case (unlikely to find one)
-put your 20gb hdd in the 120gb case
-or just go and buy a complete black hdd

Well guys finally i got a second hand hdd because a guy sold me it very cheap. But now i have a problem I tranfered all the information from the old hdd to the pendrive and then to the new hdd, i mean:

old hdd>usb>new hdd

But now my brother can´t sig in with the old profile. Its looks like "damaged profile" and he can´t play with his saved games

There is any way to fix it?? He never has played on line

use that tool it will make the partitions needed and put files on it not with no profile on it go on live and recover your profile this will sign it for a 120gb hdd. theres a file from what ive read that needs changing to sign hdd's

use hddhackr this will do the stuff that needs doing

your profile is signed to the 20gb hdd not the 120gb there is a file on the hdd that signs the file size
if you change the file to use on the 120gb it will work.

once thats all done dont copy the profile you need to recover your profile from microsoft.

once you use that try your profile if it still dont work recover it from live
