source voltage might help as I hate having to dig around to find the source voltage people are working with. Now I will tell you from experience that a 10ohm resistor will work though most likely lessen the life of your LEDs. but personally I think the 10ohm resistor thing was a typographical error made by CyberPyrot (as he started the whole thing) and no one ever questioned it (as not many members ever wanted to question anything he said) since 100ohm resistors seem to be the magic number for red LEDs in just about every other gaming device...
I'd say follow what the calc is telling you and try it with 100ohms I'm not sure they make 82ohm resistors, so in the case of it not being made go to the next highest resistor value unless the next lowest value is closer to your calculated value, eg. you calculate 82ohms, the next lowest is 80ohms, the next highest is 100ohms, go with the 80ohm; you calculate 82 ohms the next lowest is 50ohms, the next highest is 100ohms, go with the 100ohm...) and it'll probably work out really well for you...
