Mic not workin for one of my controllers
« on: April 03, 2011, 08:21:52 AM »
So i recently modded a matrix controller with flex. I use a wireless mic on live, and for some reason, the mic doesnt work for my new mod. On other controllers, the mic is synced to led 1. When i play with my new mod, it is synced to led 2. You can change the player led by pressing a button, but it doesnt let me change it to player one. Its really annoying because i cant talk to annyone with my new controller. Anybody know how to fix this? i already tryed lots of things too.

where did you take the power from for the mod?
can we get pics of the install?

sounds to me like you have done something to make the controller think there is a wired mic attached.

i used 2 different points for the power, as if i used the same one, the leds got very dim. The controller in da pic isnt the controller i used but, i used the one that ur sopossed to use for power. and i used the one thats attached to the wire that goes to da batterie.

try taking power from only one point (shown in attached diagram) see if that fixes it.

also i cant see anything in your picture its too small.

I used that install, except i had the led indicator in the guide button, so the power of the leds went to where i described.

the pic you posted doesnt show the power point for a matrix controller, the one hyper posted does. the mic power supply generally used for cg controllers is not exactly the same as the same spot on the matrix and may cause you problems. If your going to use that point on a matrix, you may as well just wire straight to the batteries because your mod will be on all the time anyway.

You should still be able to use your mic though. turn the xbox on without the controller on, then pwer on the mic, finally power on the controller. the mic dosnt sinc to the controller,it sincs to the xbox.
