First Case Mod.

removed unneeded plastic.


Trace pattern on case and score with knife.


Cut out with dremel tool.


Put it back together unfinished so can use it.


This is the grating I am going to use.

I forget what that symbol is, I've seen it before 1000 times but i just don't know.

Looks good. Needs a bit of sanding to get rid of those pesky burrs on the edges. Where did you buy the grating?

Finally got time today to do some work on my box :tup:

prepped the vent holes with aluminum tape.


My weapon of choice.


now wait for it to set up.


The JB worked great I did have to reapply to some areas after sanding. I will post pics after i get it sanded.

before you paint sand your edges... you have no idea how a quick sanding will make that look much smoother.

jb weld? thats a bit of over kill, it looks like the holes are still showng through, use a bit of body filler for the final coat as that epoxy is tough to sand smooth.

bt it looks good none the less, I am a perfectionist

Thats cuz any filler shrinks thats why matt said to  use what he did, and could of blocked out after loaded up with primer,   Just future referance for someone else who tries to use anytype of filler 

awsome job though :)

Very nice job. I love the mesh accents. I would recommend working on your dremeling skills though (that is if you cut out the design with a dremel).

I wasn't completely happy with the bit i used to cut it out. maybe next time it will try and fund a finer bit.
