Help with Easycap
« on: April 06, 2011, 03:30:04 AM »
Hi guys

Well I have an Easycap and I would like to know if you could help me. I record my games with this capture card and the image its good (for this caputure wich doesnt have HD and wich is very cheap) but i have one proble. When you move through the dashboard or when you are playing games, the image distorted with horizontal line.

I use a Macbook pro and videogluide. Here is a vid i have made to show it.

Hope someone has this capture card and could help me

First problem, Easycap is a pile of junk...but now this is tricky there are 2 types Easycap and Ezcap and i have done a lot of research (well a bit  :whoosh:) and i can't tell which is the fake...but you can have a play around with the settings to try and reduce the frame rate. I could get a half decent image using "Am cap" Just go ogle it.
Another point would be too make sure you have decent cables connecting your box and T.v/Laptop

Here is a video i recorded if you just play around with the settings

That's probably the best quality you can squeeze out but too be honest if you want to make so amazing quality montages i would go for a bit of dazzle  :hifive:

I really hope this helps

i used Am cap to record my gameplay but hated the frame blur on the videos. I used pinnacle studio and a dazzle dvc 100. I moved on to a sony black magic hdmi cap card.

ok guys, thanks for the replies but I have a mac.... to capture I use videoglide (I have seen some videos people using easycapviewer but its for a DC60 and mine is DC60+ wich isnt supported) and I tried with MPEGStreamclip to reduce the frame rate but nothing

Before, in windows, I used to use AMCap to record, and Sony Vegas to edit and with the same cables I didnt have this problem then I think its a problem with settings.

I think if i can´t fix it I will have to star to keep some money to buy HD PVR :(
