should do, i know that the micro controller that it is based on would work in a pad. it might need a bit of modification but it should work

I guess it could, I would think the program may need to be modified though... but that is a cool idea.

It has fading modes aswell, not the just the audio sync

i dunno about the rumble, you could probably just hook up the left and right audio pads on the pulsevu to the left and right rumble packs.

good luck trying to find one, they are discontinued and ive yet to find anyone that has them in stock.

i think theres someone on ebay selling the pulsevu2, not the 2x for 360 though.

Idea .Along these lines. You guys seen crazie's mp3 controller? Take that mod apply it to the ps3 controller, integrate a bluetooth head set into the controller. Hook the audio from the mp3 to the mic input on the bluetooth. tie in your led vu meter. At least in multiplayer you can drown out the lil kids. and have a cool led.

thats what i meant, if you need any programmed AVRs i can hook you up if you reimburse me for the chips and the postage

edit: btw do you mean the sickmods fader(makes the rol fade in and out like a breathing effect)? because the pulse VU is for sound reactive LEDs and there is no audio source in a controller...

i think a ipod shuffle would be good to put in as its nice and small that the pulseuv should get the sound off?

I really like this idea. I even have a small amp and speakers powered by 3v. I think i might do some design work while I wait for parts for my other projects. Much props to crazy for his work on the xbox mp3 controller.
Nice specs page on nano touch.

you could do it similar to the chotto shot mod for the psp , I mean by switching the usb between  controller and the ipod. so you could charge/data both from 1 usb cord. Maybe even make it dock-able.
And touch screen means very few extra buttons.
I checked the dimensions compared to the controller, and it would fit nicely right above sel and start. With little speakers on the top on each side by the shoulder buttons.
Well, after looking at prices for those ipod touches, I looked at big lots and found this.
25$ no touch though.

I just realized a good use for this idea. Video walk through of games. You get lost press pause and check the video.
can we separate this into a new topic?
