psp 1000 led mod final video

im not finished i encountered a little problem my left trigger led blew out dont know why i could use some help im using 8 red 0805 led connected to the 5v power point on the mother board with 1.8v min and 2v typical im only using a 100 ohm resistor am i suppose to use a bigger one ? this is the video before it blew out  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55-o5K0VH9E

may have just beena defective LED but you could try putting a 120ohm resistor instead of the 100ohm one that would probably work.

nice mod btw! what did you use to get them to flash? a PIC or something you found?

nice! im too scured to try hooking mine up on my 2000 cuz it took me forever to find that modifiable 2000

do you think maybe the led burnt out when i closed the umd door the light started to flash dimmer and dimmer and then it went out

you may have crossed some wires or an exposed part of the wire touched the motherboard or something and fried. Cuz remember that the whole psp motherboard can act like a ground wire so if you touch a positive to it it will fry what ever is attached to it. like a sound mod. if an exposed wire touched the frame of the psp or it's motherboard then it fries the sound fuse cuz it causes a power surge.

i think my sound still works maybe it was just the led ill try putting tape around the wire and the resistors ill post another video and photos when finished thanks for the help

im still waiting for my CR 5200 (2 SD to 1 Pro Duo) adapter. and for it to warm up a bit so i can do the paint job on it.
as well as add a see through ring with led's behind it.

if you have any ideas of what to paint on it give me a shout lol

I like the speakers too! it gives your psp a shaking feeling when listening to music so you can feel the bass! also great for racing games (lets you feel the roar of the engine!)

and the CR-3100 (im correcting myself) should be here tommorow at the latest (damn easter holiday's) so i can start the painting next week then.

I got my $50 airbrush (i hope it's better then the last one cuz the last one somehow exploded paint all over my project and ruined it!

P.S. i do paint jobs on psp and nintendo cases. also have a case for sale.
