psp mod plans and description of what to expect :)

a mod thats being planned as of now...

list of mods:
------------------
leds in triggers
leds in buttons (abxy,d-pad,and homebar)
led behind nubs
different leds for power,mem stick busy,and wireless
internal cam
internal tilt fx (motion sensor for games like nfs and gt)
dual nubs
possible kick stand
possible extra speakers (psp speakers)
im planning to have a switch for sound reactivity and on/off.

and the best one:
-----------------------
an infinity mirror to replace the umd drive (simple yet useless but stylish mod)

btw's:

i think there are more mods i will be doing this on i just cant remember those right now

idea of looks:
------------------------
the housing will be black with  transparent blue d-pads,abxy buttons,homebar,and nubs. all buttons will have blue or aqua leds under them (including the nubs...not under but near enough to shine light through) and the umd drive will be replaced with an infinity mirror.(so i can check my hair when leds are off,and to have the psp look cool when theyre on lol)

remember theyre may be more mods done meanwhile that i cant remember but yea this is gonna be a fun project and something i can do every after noon instead of doing research on tech. tell me what you think :) l8r

Hehehe I finally thought up a good mod. And its easy if u think about it. I'm not gona tell wat it is...yet... lets just say its a lil beyond the matrix ;) but I'm doin other mods too so it may be awile til I post.

I think this one is serious... we had a whole discussion about how you couldn't make a sliding PSP 2000, or extend the lcd easily..

lol neovalor it isnt that. its something completely different. im gonna have to remove the umd drive for it but...who uses umd's? i dont support piracy but i use my lil bros psp to copy the umds cuz he loves breakin em.

order from ebay... there are many shops with one day shipping, just make sure its located in the us. There are many ways to tell if housing is cheap or not.. For example:
I wanted to purchase housing for my psp 3000 on ebay. I searched blue housing. One place has a blue housing, but all of the buttons are opaque. You can't see through them at all. The other place has blue housing, with the translucent buttons... Which one is higher quality? ;)

the one with the see through buttons is the higher quality. Also try to get one that comes with the L & R triggers too. there are some that come with out them.

any suggested sellers? the guy i got my blue one from sux. it was badly sanded and the home buttons turn on with lots of force. i didnt return cuz i didnt wanna waste anymore time. btw i need either white silver or black housing--psp 2000   black preferred. and a transparent blue for buttons.

It depends what you'll be doing with the case once you get it. But at the same time the higher quality one would yield better looks when finished. It's all up to how you want it to look when youre done.

o forgot to add... i wanna get a tilt fx and put it INSIDE the psp. just solder point to pint rite? and does it work on cfw if anyone knoes. thanx

i guess it would depend on what version of the Tilt FX you were using, cuz i know that the newer go cams require 6.00 OFW/CFW and up to work, where as the original go cams only needed 3.71 OFW/CFW and up to work.

I believe you just solder to the USB like you would for the Go cam. But i could be wrong.

Hmm... im not sure i know what a Tilt FX is then... But it should still stand to reason that if you solder it to the right points on the sound card then it should work well.

yea the tilt fx thing would work, but i thing you would have to put it in the umd drive place, because theres no room near the head phone jack, i think it will be pretty easy to soldier it over.

i was kinda thinkin that, but would the thing be off since its closer to the left than the right would that make it off? i have no idea though because ive never used one but.

Well thats the thing cuz the sensor goes on the headphone jack or the left of the psp. I wud assume it wudnt but agen idk.

2000. Since its smaller than a 1000 I'm taking space seriusly. Sum things like the infinity mirror are gonna have to be very thin. Of course it shudnt be too hard to make. I thought of the infinity mirror becuz its sumthing I believe no one has done.

dude you are asking for to much in one shot!!  u should start on triggers before u try a homebar led mod the infinity mirror i have done before and its not hard but HOMEBAR ill give u mad props if u can show us that u can do this before a week, i will even give u a free 4 mode led chaser, im sorry bro but your ideas of mods are incredible will love to see your actual work!!  :yess:

lol cool. the homebar im actually gonna test it on a broken homebar i have over here. i do have experience modding n stuff but ive never posted them cuz i never knew about sites like dis. i also sold most and lost sum. right now im still finding good prices for stuff cuz i ran out of supplies. right now im ordering and finding prices basically. im gonna start once i have everything. the first time i modded was on a ps2 controller and i didnt have all the supplies at them time which slowed down the process. i learned from that and ever since i usually got all the stuff i need. i even build sum stuff too. i got a few rewards at science fairs for building stuff like solar cars lol. anyways getting off topic right now im ordering things. i dont wanna rush cuz i cant have anything messup. i actually gotta repair a friends joystick cuz it doesnt work. it drifts n stuff. i cleaned out but still. yep so rite now im having a slow start but yea im not gonna make this too long and turn it to a story. talk to ya l8rs!

@sammy what u mean like in the middle so its viewable from the door or around the ring where its not visible but still reflects light? i thought of that but when i remembered the infinity mirror i thought i had to do it. im trying to find good deals on stuff just so i dont spend much. i also got 2 mobos i gotta fix. one bricked the other works but wont power lcd and no longer turns on. both my brothers' and sister's. <if i fix em i get 3 psps total. :O btw this a gonna be a long project cuz i want it to be real good and have no messups. maybe about a few months or so probably way less

one question...how thick does the mirror have to be? i dont know the dimesions so wud this work as the mirror part?

i have a window in my umd door so i was going to just put a square mirror where the umd drive shoulde be and have a ring of lights around the window.

K. Dude all you have to do is not post two or three times consecutively. Like Matt said, if you wanna add something else just click the "modify" button on your post and add more to it.
