RapidFire with pause
« on: May 21, 2011, 10:05:51 AM »
Has anyone heard of this rapid fire with a pause mode. From what I can gather you have to hold the sync button and it flashes and turns off or pauses rapid fire. Any info on how to include this in a rapid fire hex would be appreciated.

please explain more.

It sounds like you are talking about a one mode sleeper.

When i first came upon this feature I also thought it may just be one mode but is seems not as there were 5 other modes. I cant really find much other info mation, all i know is that to activate the pause mode the sync button has to be held down. sorry for being so vague.

i think you mean like quick on and off maybe?

so you click the button to turn rapidfire off, but without changing mode

then you hold the button down for a couple of seconds to change the mode

like t0pfire or gameplayrf

Its kinda like tops code. Your not necessarily pausing it, its just a quick on off feature. Then you can click it back to on and when you hold it down it changes to the next mode. Just a quick press of a tact will "pause/shutoff" the RF.

In the video it refers to the rapid fire as being disengaged.

its not wired differently its a different code the only way to get a controller like that is to buy one or rewrite their code

the code looks for a 0 input on the sinc button, this tells the chip to stop the interrupt routine and return to normal mode, which is basically watching the sinc button. thats the how. but probably not what your looking for. you cant add any of this to the hex, hex is a compiled/compressed amount of source code.

well, I guess that is determined by how the source code is written.

This is probably why people ask for a 8-10 mode sleeper code because they think this feature would be available and that they wont have to cycle through all eight modes, they can just pause it.

still not sure your getting it. there is no damn pause. it dosnt exist, not happening. you can turn it off, and come back to the same mode you were on, but the program on the chip is still running, so the word "pause" dosnt apply.  sorry, and people who ask for 8-10 mode sleepers are just stupid.

Agreed. I am begining to wonder thuough if this is a better way to make a sleeper. So, here is my thought:

You change modes by some combination: Say hold down DPAD up and tap the sync. The modes are regular RF, jitter, drop-shot, akimbo

You change pre-set speeds by holding DPAD down and tapping sync: Game 1, Game 2, adjustable, etc

You enable/disable RF by tapping sync without holding the DPAD.

I never liked stealth. But most implementations of it have been horrible. If what this poster means by 'pausing' is actualy enable/disable toggling, then it might not be a half bad idea. I dont see the value in 'stealth' installs, but others do.

I bet I could draw this up on the 12F683 some day. Not right now though. I would still make it a flex, no static speeds (ever) they would all be adjustable. Hmm, a FLEX-STEALTH design.

i also have considered this but then i remembered matrix controllers...

correct me if i'm wrong but you wouldnt be able to read the dpad on a matrix...

Others cannot read the DPAD.

Others cannot read the DPAD.

Thought that might be the case :P could you possibly explain how one would go about it? I've wanted to have a go but haven't got/come across one yet..
My initial plan is to tap into the matrix as it were, and read the buttons like the controller does and at the same time.

King mike had a mod chip like this, it was a sold as a PCB design.

i know what you mean about there being no "pause" its just on and off but an it came back to the mode you were previously on, i thought pause would be a more appropriate word. sorry for any confusion
