Sup Guys,my psp 1000 won't charge, I have tried literately everything... The connector plug for the power broke off (see picture) and I had to hard-wire it to the 2 connection points on my motherboard, It did not charge, then I tried the USB charge mod and that did not work as well?? I even tried to charge the battery manually...That did not turn out very well. Need help? Any Suggestions??
You say it won't charge. Does this mean that it won't turn on, or you can't get the battery to refill. If it doesn't turn on, you need to bridge the power fuse.If power won't go through the charge port, it's hard to solder that thing on. Make sure you scrape some insulation off, and solder it so it makes good connection. And again if It doesn't turn on with the battery, bridge the power fuseI'm guessing that the points you soldered to aren't making connection, if they did the usb charge mod would definitely work.
maybe you killed the battery-does the battery work ok in a different psp?-does the psp turn on if you plug it in but have no battery in it?-test the voltage from the battery with your multimeter?
