PSP Touch pad or Accelerometer hacks?

A few days ago my psp's nub just stopped responding and started driftig all over. I tried cleaning the contacts, the rubber connector that sits in the LCD housing and even getting a new shell to see if it wasn't tight enough. all attempts ended in failure. I got annouyed and soldered a wire on each contact to see if there was a problem there and there was none. so the next step was to wire in the nub and while it works, i want to do something a bit different than that, so does any one have a DIY accelerometor tutorial or a simple DIY 6axis touch pad/screen tutorial some where?
