Let’s face it teens do a lot of dumb things and record it! A lot of adults are even jumping on the same bandwagon. Now obviously whenever we record things we want to show them to somebody, right? Well Facebook has a feature that allows you upload videos and make them private so only certain people can see them… Well a kink was found on Facebook and those private videos aren’t so private anymore.
The videos themselves remained private and hidden yes, but a single naughty thumbnail is worth a thousand words, and sometimes all it takes is a single thumbnail to ruin your grandmother’s opinion of you. Likewise a naughty title could bring your whole world crashing down around you depending on the level of imagery you like to use.
Now users who know Facebook will know, this isn’t the first time a flaw has been found in their privacy settings. Sometimes the flaw is actually those pulling the strings. In the past the company has changed its privacy policy without informing anybody, and even adding new settings on an opt-out basis which leaves all users scrambling to change their settings before people find out all their dirty little secrets. So to all of you who posted naughty things on Facebook, you may want to use caution before going to your next family gathering.
