Okay, so I haven't modded in a while and really wanted to give you guys a taste of some ModernTek... contribute a little to the site.
I will be posting in this thread every day I work or the next morning.
Xbox 360 Project #1
Day 1Saturday, July 9th 2011
Tools needed- Dremel w/cutting wheel
- Sharpie
- Exacto knife
- Ruler
- Triangle
- Pencil
- Safety glasses
- Chocolate
Materials needed- Masking tape
- Design printed on cardstock
- Xbox 360 shell top cover

Today I started cutting the design into the 360. I stared by masking off the cover and centering a 5"x5" square. Then I took the design that was printed on a 5"x5" piece of cardstock and lined it up in that square. Once that was done I took my exacto and cut out the necessary pieces of cardstock.

After all that tedious work I outlined and shaded the design on the masking tape and prepped my dremel. I ate a little bit of chocolate (keeps me from shaking...works for me) and got to cuttin'

I ended the day by removing some of the plastic on the back side of the cover and hit the hay.

Materials needed- Masking tape

- NZXT sentry II

Today I started cutting a hole to fit the NZXT sentry II into the 360. I started by masking off the area. After measuring the NZXT sentry II I centered the 6"x1 5/8" rectangle under the 5"x5" design. Once I was sure my measurements were 100% accurate I prepped my dremel ate some chocolate and started cutting.

After I finished cutting I decided to dissasemble the NZXT sentry II.

Day 3Monday, July 11th 2011
Tools needed- Dremel w/cutting wheel
- Mini files
- Safety glasses
- Chocolate
Materials needed- 80 grit sandpaper
- Xbox 360 shell top cover
- NZXT sentry II

Today I didn't do to much work. I cleaned up the hole for NZXT sentry II and made sure it fit. I also cleaned up the bottom section of the 360 logo.

I plan on using bondo to make the NZXT sentry II and the 360 cover one piece. If the weather complies I should have a day 4 update up tomorrow morning with some bondo work and the rest of the logo cleaned up.
