DaughterBoard Issue. Please HELP! no lights
« on: November 10, 2011, 10:42:09 PM »
Hi, I have just fixed a 360 from RROD and ran into a problem.  everything boots up but the issue is that the daughter board (where the ROL is) does not turn on. none of the lights turn on BUT the switch to power up the 360 works.  i can still turn the 360 on with the power button in the front.  i tried another working board and still no go.  ive also tested the daughterboard on another 360 and it works.  so it has something to do with the MoBo unfortunately.  looked around and nothing seems to be burned or damaged.  and i didnt find any shorts either.

Any Ideas ???

Thanks Will

Have you checked the pins where the ROL board plugs in to? also I would look the board over for any missing components.  I have had it where the ROL board would come on and nothing else would come on also.. this is a good issue . One that i havent had a problem with yet. hope to see you get it fixed.

grab a multimeter and see if they have a few volts on both sides
