Sync button question?
« on: November 30, 2011, 08:31:29 PM »
So I've been searching the forum trying to find the answer to my question, but I can't find it so here it is:

Does the sync button naturally read high or low?  What I mean is when the sync button isn't being pressed, is there enough current there that would make a PIC think it is high?  Is it different for the matric and CG?

Also, how much electronic noise does it make and how long does it last for?  This question isn't really important but im just curious?

Thanks

It's normally Hi, then goes Lo when pressed. This is the same on all versions of Wireless 360 controller and why it's used in more than a few mods for mode changing and the like.

As far as noise goes, you'll have to scope it for yourself to find that out, though no 2 switches ever read the same in that respect anyway. If you notice an issue with using it or are worried about noise then just debounce it in your code and you're done.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
