after hours of messing with this broken slim the dvd drive didn't work when i got it and would just power on.. was able to fix the dvd drive. and got the cool-runner working.. this was my first attemt at a RGH...and it works. boot time not to bad either

Thanks guys for the veiws, and comments. being this is the first xbox 360 mod i ever done. its very challenging and trying to think of things to do and where to put the stuff is impossible to think it out a head of time.

Here is what i went buy to change the ROL.. but once you take a slim apart you can see its very simple to do, just like changing the ROL leds on a controller just have to be careful and follow the instructions here

the cool runner is the chip used to "glitch" the console.
the other box is a nandx. it is used for flashing the nand and programming the coolrunner.

as for the anything i missed. i dunno :p.

I have come to a holt in my project X-Reaper... the Mod i and trying to do just doesn't have enough room in the controller to pull off the ultimate controller mod...The object of having it all in the controller and working, Seems to be impossible to do, and limited space to make this ultimate controller .Also to get the full affect of what I am trying to do. With todays technology, I thought it would be very simple process to put it all in the controller and make this work, (NOT GIVING UP ON THE IDEA) just Not alot of room to put all in such a small place and have the controller fully operation. but we will see what happens and hopefully figure this out.

This is the reason why i haven't done anything in quite sometime now , totally trying to map this out and make it fully fuctional and trying to keep the rumblers intact still and with out hacking the controller case all to peices. In other words keeping the parts all inside and keeping the controller stock looking.

I am unsure if we are allowed to give suggestions that would help. So, until I am told it is ok to give you advice on how to make something that is big, a lot smaller, I won't tell you lol.

Ok, so I got the go-ahead. So, what I suggest that you do to make it smaller is make an SMD layout of it in a cadsoft program such as eagle. You can then send the files to a pcb production company or whatever and they will etch the board for you. This can reduce the size of whatever you are putting together by at least 50% (it all depends on how close together you can put everything in the design)

Thanks for the info, but what i am trying to do is already pretty small, also trying to get the parts to build another circuit board, for in the controller, (this may come down to where both circuit boards i built, still might not fit in the controller, I would like to keep the rumblers in tack if possible, but we will see what happens, also undecided on which controller shell to use, the blue one would give more affect on what i want to do yet the polished black one matches the console. Thanks for your help.

Not sure if it will be a power issue due to the smaller batteries I have found dont't take up that much space and they put out enough power to power the controller and the circuits boards i am building to and trying to compact everything in such a small place .... and keepng the controller looking stock from the outside. other then some tact switches ...

Down to about 4 hours and no where close to being done.. I will complete this mod , just not enough time for me to complete it tonight, I bought the wrong peices today and didnt realize it till after they were closed... will do what i can. still having issues with the console Rol it boots up but doesnt show any lights , boots to the dashboard but no ROL or power lights, It worked yesterday havent touched it since , and turned it on this morning and went right to the dashboard no ROl, no center light on the power . GOOd LUck to you all .. gave it a good run. just wont be completeing this or the console tonight,

Rol just don't light up I don't know why. still boots up , wont sync a controller.. everything works , yet messed with it all damn day! ticked really ... then bought the wrong part for the controller and still alot more wiring to go thru this controller. Will Complete at a later date this year.

Picked up the right parts yesterday... will proceed to finish this.. also will take pics so i can do a full tutorial or work long on the controller... alot of work still left in this controller ... Just hope the Acidmod community will like this contoller when completed.... also might add a second version, been doing some thinking, and might be a way to make this a little easier to do.

But lets get this one finished first

WOW no one has figured it out yet.. its playing music form inside the controller will understand when its all done with this mod.

will be updates again soon. added 2 speakers, might try to add 2 more if possible... the speakers are out of a PSP Phat 1000. and going to add some leds to the controller.. can't say any more till its finished. this was a first attempt to do this in a controller...and now that i have messed around with it some , I will be making another one with some minor changes and hopefully alot easier install for a tutorial to be made later after i finish this .

So pissed I couldn't finish, didnt think it would of took this long to to figure this out, yet.. its different then any other controller mod.. and alot more planning and thought went in to this then I thought it would take to make it.

Here it is the one the only xbox 360 controller with sound activated Leds... So for those of you that said it couldn't be done here is proof , built in sound recorder with PSP 1000 phat speakers, all built in a xbox 360 controller ... the badest controller out there... please reply and tell me your thoughts, I tried to be the best , as for Rodent STFU now!!!!!

This one doesn't but the one i am working on will. this one you can record or talk and it will reccord what ever you say and reply it back.. I tried to make this controller so everything was internal.. the mono plug you see plugged in is a 9volt battery , the controller and the leds work off the controllers 2AA batteries still.. works like a normal controller... the next one will have more leds in it, in used the rol leds and 2 blue 3mm and two blue 0805 leds for the mod thanks for the comments

I think i would of been close in the controller mod off with this..
