USB FUSE PSP SLIM 2000
« on: September 19, 2011, 04:47:06 AM »
About 1 hour ago I dropped my psp slim while it was hooked on the usb cable and now it won't  link to the computer ( giving me the
 " please wait" message).
To diagnose my symptoms I have tried the following:

1) Change usb cables and use alternate memory cards( doesn't work)
2) tried the usb cables and memory cards on a another psp ( works for that psp)
3) cleaned the usb connector heads,( still can't link)
4)taken the whole thing apart trying to see any loose connections or broken bits ( all seems to be in other)
5) reflashed firmware ( no go)
6) tried to toggle usb connections in recovery ( no go)

From the above I have concluded  that I have blown the usb fuse.
What I need is a picture of the usb fuse so i can bridge it.

I have searched everywhere but the only images for psp usb fuses are the ones for psp 1000s.

Hopefully someone can help.

ok well... pics arnt getting posted cuz photobucket wont let me upload them.

But the fuses are marked LB. There are 2 of them located near the USB Port. one is off to the side and the other is directly below.

Bridging both fuses shouldn't hurt anything.

Cheers for letting me know, hmmm time for the hard part of bridging it.

edit: Just realised I suck at soldering. I may have messed it up completely.
