PS3 sixxasis PS Button LED mod - question -

I was wondering on this led mod. Do you really need to add a resistor if your using a 3mm blue, pink, white, or green led ? I know for sure you need one on a red, yellow, or orange led, cause it will be too much voltage going to the led, since those leds are usually 2.1 or 2.2v,  and will burn it out. ( experience on that lol ) On the xbox 360 controller, you don't need a resistor on the blue, white etc.. colors. Just wondering, I dont want to burn this ones that im doing lol. Thanks...

no you dont mate but i put one on anyway just to be careful but no you don't on them colors

you dont need one i used a 3mm multicolor led in a few controllers never ever had any problems
but of course if you wanna be on the safe side you can add a res
ps3 controller led mod

did it in a six axis and dual shock 3

ive been known to get my drink on also lol
half the time doing mods i get a good buzz going
but yeah give it a go on the led mod your fine with no resistor
