Mad Catz MLG Gaming Controller
« on: April 30, 2012, 05:32:46 PM »
Mad Catz has released an amazing new controller with the competitive gamer in mind. This new controller allows you to swap around the DPAD and thumbsticks to your liking. This means you can have a Xbox 360 or PS3 controller layout in just one controller. If you wanted to go crazy you could even have two DPADs, do whatever you want.

Unfortunately, due to console compatibility, there are two separate controllers on the market, one for the Xbox 360 and one for the PS3. Mad Catz has also released spacers which allow you to adjust the height of your thumbsticks for maximum accuracy. You do have the option to switch around the tops of the thumbsticks for when they get worn down or if you want a different styled one. It comes with two different DPADs too, one Xbox 360 styled one and one PS3 styled one. The wire to plug it into your console is an amazing 3 meter (almost 10 foot) braided cable. On the back of the controller there is a snap in wait system which allows you to make the controller lighter or heavier depending on your liking. The face-plate and hand-plates connect magnetically to the controller which means you can swap them out easily. The controller comes with matte and gloss finished face-plates. With these removable face-plates users can easily paint their own face-plates or wait till Mad Catz comes out with the colored face-plate series. The back side of the controller has a nice rubber finish which allows for your hands to maintain grip during sweaty gameplay. The controllers currently run $99.99. Although these controllers are on the pricey side, how can you argue with the amount of customization built into this controller?
