PS Vita Clear Rear Touch Test
« on: May 17, 2012, 06:28:25 PM »
Below is a video of a test panel I made from clear .030 thickness lexan. This is not a finished product, the purpose of the video below is only to show proof of concept that the touch is still responsive under the lexan. The original black touch panel has been removed so what you see is the orange/brown digitizer under the lexan panel. This mod is a collaboration with 1tonpete. Now that we can have a clear rear touch panel, hopefully we can find a way to light it up nicely and use some of 1tonpetes sweet jewel/skins on the rear.

I ordered a 10cm X 10cm white EL panel.
this one...

All I have to do is find a place for my inverter and then test to make sure the panel does not interfere with the touch.

Also got some of this too... hmmmm...

This will look nice when its finished, why does the el panel blink on/off? ive seen panels that can be cut down to any size, might be good for something like this.

The panel can and will be cut to shape. The final design for my vita is based off Akuma. Akuma's shin power flames move to the music .

The #'s in the pic correspond to animation sequence.

Rodent if you see this a new version of the flame box could be on its way.
