Playstation 3 BD replacement help please!

I have been replacing new laser for a while now but recently started running into an issue and I don't know why. I can get a new laser put it in and boot the console up and nothing, take the console back apart and the ribbon between the laser and daughter board is fried. I also had a fellow tech try the most recent and he came up with the same result. Does anyone know why this is happening?

theres a short somewhere if im reading correct it keeps frying the ribbon cable correct?

are you using the same laser in all those system? try using a different laser. are you sure you also have the right laser unit?

Then your doing something wrong cause this absolutely shouldnt happen , can you get a pic of the ribbon cable? cause its odd that its burning up , either the clips not holding it in the dvd drive and when it powers up its grounding out against the metal case.
