Microsoft calls for beta testers. Change is comming.

"We need members of our valued community to help us fine-tune this early build of Xbox Live," says Major Nelson. "What do you love? What would you like to see improved? Numbers are limited, so sign up today."

Successful candidates will have an update pushed to their console once the public beta begins. It'll contain select features including:

    Internet Explorer for Xbox
    Personalized dashboard recommendations
    Enhanced category search and discovery features

If chosen, users will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement and fill out a five-minute survey offering feedback.

Xbox Live's subscriber base has grown by 15 percent in the past year, Microsoft said last week.

It took about an hour to go through this "5 min" registration. hopefully it will be worth it.

It will open back up. I registered 2 weeks ago. I tried to do it before that the very first time it opened (maybe the last week of July I think) and it said it was closed.

I have participated in every beta dashboard testing since the one that patched the SMC Hack (JTAG Hack)

wow that actually looks pretty nice, its about time we got a web browser for 360. Hopefully we can get internet explorer on our RGH and JTAG consoles

I got my code last night after your message, thanks. The update has not been pushed to me yet. I was reading that each code would be good for three consoles. any truth to that?


I entered the code, it downloaded and nothing happened.....

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, it probably isn't a good idea to post those pictures up on here Toad.  I think that might qualify as disclosing.

NP, I still dont have the update. I went to quick play and run the console registration..

i got the update after work today. it is smoking fast. the interface  is way better responcive than my ps3. it dislays perfectly. the chat pad is a must have.

i dont like the new dashboard, but this makes it worth it.
