Wall-Mounted PS1 Guts/ XGBA 360

Hey guys, for my mod off I'm going to take out the guts of an ps1 and display it on a clear perspex sheet as a "wall hanging", still be workable though, going to put it up either in my room or my living room

Since my power supply has broke, and i'm not sure when i'm receiving a new one( thanks 1TONpete for helping me out here) i'm going to do something else, so i can still take part in the modoff

New Project: I'm going to stuff a GBA advance inside a Xbox Controller, still musing over the exact build, but its straight forward mostly, adding 360 joystick to the up down and left, plus normal dpad (still wondering whats going to happen to other joystick hole.

ATM i shorted the ps1 power supply somehow making a thread about it later so some people with some insight on PSU's can help me :/


pretty straight forward mod, i'm adding a a speaker amp so it can run Independently with sound( i'm going to buy a small 4.3" LCD later when i have the money and add this to the mount too)
then ill have sound reactive leds and a 12F683 PIC with the ps1 hack code on it so i can run games without having to do a swap method all the wiring is going to a central copper plate which will be etched with my design for everything to connect and communicate. :P

also adding a fan to the mobo for the heck of it

Read at the Top^^ for info on my PS1 build that i dropped until i get a new power supply. I'm going on with the GBA mod in the meantime

I think I'm going to like this XGBA 360. The one thing I have always hated the most about hand-helds is the form factor. They can never make those little #$^\s comfortable enough to hold  for a real gaming session. Shame you couldn't finish the wall mount, I was looking forward to how it turned out. For a really long time I've thought of doing the same, with all my systems, but as a headboard to a water bed frame (w/drop down flat screen and surround sound) instead of wall mounted.

27 February:

I'fe made some progress, so far ife overclocked the gba to 2.5x normal speed (added switch to go to overclock mode)

Removed shoulder tacts and trade port.
also looked at how im going to do this, atm the only problem is the cartridge hole and the battery pack, im maybe going to use the internal battery pack from my "Full 360 Mod" controller and put the cartridge hole in place of the battery pack.. or i make the bat pack in the original place , and the cartridge hole is in the shoulder trim.. leaving no space for dpad buttons... or start select .

going to have to think this through.. progress is slow...
