This is the start of my PS3 Ragnarok. I will be upgrading this controller in the coming weeks. I built this for myself after building a couple xbox Rags for others.
Originally this shell was a launch six-axis non dual shock controller. It was not compatible with the Ragnarok PS3 chip. It is a smoked clear shell with smoked clear buttons and triggers. The one analog stick broke on me so I need to buy a new set of smoked sticks. I will be doing some crazy back lighting on this controller. But more on that later.
I installed a ver 4 controller board and button film and kept the internal trigger plastics as they are needed to work with the smoked triggers and trigger design of the old shell. The old film had to be replaced because it has the clip in style connection instead of the newer style press on. One more mod I had to do was swap over the newer led display , just the clear parts to line up with the newer boards led layout. The only thing is that the newer shell the part that holds the led display is molded into the shell and not a separate piece. So I had to leave that piece out , which actually helped to display the rf settings on the front of the controller since the shell is smoked clear , the leds show right through to the front.
Once I got the board swap figured out and tested , I new I could install the Ragnarok on it and have a pretty interesting controller.
