finally had some free time to get everything together
gonna test later on today if not i might this to someone thats gonna be able to test as i dont have many resources etc

unfortunately i sent gizmo 2 of these boards but im assuming they got lost in the mail thats what i get for shipping via normal letter lol
the heating element on my rework station took a crap on me so i had to do this with a 10w iron i went back fluxed the crap out of it and cleaned up the solder joints

not bad for seeing blurry lol

if this works as the original and if people are interested i will order a bunch soon will also offer unpopulated pcbs also as a diy
ps those tiny smd in the middle of the board i know they look to be bridged but there not its my crappy camera

no never i made so many changes i actually uploaded the wrong zip file and without thinking twice i ordered them as you can tell by the uneven font size on the text lol but the new rev has the modznshi team on the back

thanks colt only reason i resurrected it was because of rodent hopefully do some testing soon to confirm if they work like the original
if no one takes interest prolly scrap it and move on to something else

yeah it never came in, also the only reason my name was on it, was because i had asked to test this out since i was the only one with the chips and programmer. cant wait to get some in.

not to in love with them at the moment as i was working on 2 diff pcbs and pads literally burned off after a sec with a 10w portable solder iron

oh strange... i've used then quite a few times now and have always found the boards to be very high quality :S

yeah never had any issues up until now but not really an issue as this wasnt the first time ive used them
im going to continue using their service as the price is unbeatable

as stated all comments are welcomed if i cant do a test run today im going to send it off to someone so they can test
im might buy my nephews nintendo wii today for dirt cheap as he got a wii u
ill see if i can work on something today

well after some testing when i connect power the led goes on when i "change modes" the led will turn off and afterhalf a sec itll come back on i think the chip wasnt programmed correctly but im sending to gizmo tomorrow to reprogram the chip as far i see it looks fine but we will see

I still have my Pulsevu 2x somewhere. Had the same issue that you experience 3D0 had to take a looked on what used to be the pulsevu website and they say it was a bad chip. Mailed it out took 3 months since the service was in UK got a new one back and the same issue. I kept it but couldn't get it into different modes only could get it into pulse to sound.

I would love to buy one of those chip to use on my xbox 360 slim mod. Once its all done and I have some cash at hand. Wouldn't mind ordering a couple

for the ps3 and PC mod.

soon as gizmos does more testing as i have limited resources i dont even have a console at the moment i tried testing with one led but im sure we can sort this out
sad to say but after the time needed for testing and ordering more pcbs and populating them its gonna be around 3 weeks min

gonna try to keep the price as close as to the original as possible maybe in 20 25$ range depending we'll see how things go

well i feel like a complete noob

either im either wiring this wrong or the chip wasnt programmed correctly
does anyone know of a simple mock that i can do to test it
as of right now:
i got a tact switch 1 pin going to SW then i got a wire going from SW back to - and the other side of the tact going to +
i got 5v going to + and i got gnd going to -
i got neg side of the one one led to VU and i got the pwr going to +

is this correct

Other then that , All I could think is get Gizmo to send you a diagram of what pins do what and reverse engineer form that.

read again about the tact one pin goes to SW and the other pin goes to + and from the SW pad not the tact goes from SW to -

and all those pulsevu "official pages" its a joke

He does not have a console to wire it to. He needs a good mock up style install sheet.

not much to this thing to install should be able to add some leds. and add a tact switch to wire it can be in stalled in almost anything. if done properly . the leds are activated from sound of the controller. it works the same way as i did with my flame xbox 360 console.

you should be able to just power it on to see if the leds even work.
