I was fed up having to charge the controllers with PS3 left on so last night I was trying to use some adapters to make a mains charger, I used a charge dock for 2 controllers that has a USB connection and a round connection that fits in dock,I found a charger that fitted it and plugged it in, the blue led light came on so thought happy days and sat my 2 PS3 controllers into it, no red charging lights came on but about 10 secs later I could smell burning so pulled the plug but too late they both won't work now, I have another working one and my process of elimination I know I've fried the motherboards. Question is can you get replacement parts or repair them or should I just buy new ones. I like a challenge hence why I came here for help as you guys know your stuff.
Ps I've stripped them right down and put them back together no worries. All battery packs work in the good one
