PS3 Fan Problems need some help

Somethings up with my ps3's fan and I'm not to sure what's going on my ps3 fan doesnt want to turn on at times i opened up the ps3 and notice that it was not running so i unplugged it and pluged it back in and the fan began running again and i was able to play some games but when i turn the ps3 off and dont play it for the day or more the fan does the same thing and i have to keep opening my ps3 up and unpluging and plugging it back in to have the fan run

what ps3 phat slim?
could be that the fan is going out or maybe you damaged the pins on the mobo

ps3 slim and when i was originally cleaning the ps3 I took the fan out and ran water on the blades to clean it well probably not the brightest idea lmao

a can of air or some rubbing alcohol NOT WATER
try using a diff fan if you can get ahold of one see if the issue continues

I didn't want to have to do that if i knew it was def the fan but I guess ill have to throw down the $20 for a new one and hope that's the problem and it fixes it
